Neitzel, Thelma Amelia (Marriage - 21
Aug. 1954)
A dinner at the Holway Lutheran Church
parlors and a reception at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Neitzel,
Curtiss, followed the marriage on Saturday afternoon at 1:30
o’clock of their daughter, Miss Thelma Amelia Neitzel, to
Karl William Buchholz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Buchholz, of
Owen.
As the bride stood before the Rev. Magnus
Egge, Greenwood, she was attired in a bridal gown featuring a nylon
tulle-over-satin skirt extending into a full length train, and a
lace bodice accented by a scalloped peplum. Her lace-edged
finger-tip veil was secured by a crown of rhinestones and seed
pearls.
Miss Lorraine Neitzel, Curtiss, served as
maid of honor for her sister and the groom’s sister, Miss
Fern Buchholz, Wausau, and the bride’s cousin, Miss Vera
Neitzel, Curtiss, were bridesmaids.
The honor attendant wore a shrimp colored
gown fashioned with a tulle-over-satin skirt and lace strapless
bodice topped by a lace cape. She held a bouquet of gladioli, mums,
and carnations. The blue gowns of the bridesmaids were similarly
styled.
William Hamm, Jr., Medford, was best man
and groomsmen were Franklin Hamm, Medford, cousins of the bride,
and John Wild, Sr., Stetsonville, cousin of the groom.
Ushers were Arlan Hamm, Curtiss, and
Robert Buchholz, Abbotsford, brother of the groom.
Mr. and Mrs. Buchholz will reside on the
groom’s farm in the Town of Holway.
Out-of-town guests present for the event were from Michigan, Medford, Stetsonville, Dorchester, Abbotsford, Owen, Green Bay, Withee, Rib Lake, Milwaukee, Wausau, and Hurley.
